Cantina Antonelli

San Marco was a Longobard cohort in mediaeval times. From the thirteenth to the nineteenth century it belonged to the Bishop of Spoleto.

Since 1883 the property is owned by Antonelli. Originally from Spoleto, the family has lived in Rome for five generations.

Francesco Antonelli (a lawyer) purchased and transformed the property. Stefano Antonelli (a lawyer) and Marianna Antonelli lovingly preserved it. Giacomo Antonelli (a lawyer) and Antonio Antonelli (engineers) expanded and addressed it to wine production.

Filippo Antonelli (an agronomist) since 1986 is the director and lives between Montefalco and Rome, where he heads up another family winery Castello di Torre in Pietra.
